Aromas of burnt wood, toffee and heavy column still raisinated fruit. Hints of sweet coconut and vanilla follow. Stunning intensity with developing wood spice, liquorice, tobacco and juicy, sweet dried fruit. With time it shows a slightly medicinal note.
The palate is full and rounded with wood spice, treacle and dark raisinated fruit. The oak adds a touch of vanilla to lighten the middle but the grippy wood spice and tannins return, along with some oak char as well. Long and juicy with a touch of lighter column still dried fruit and lingering vanilla.

Light and elegant aromas of what appears to be column still fresh, dried fruit with hints of coconut, vanilla, sweet-ish spice and subtle notes of charred oak and wood smoke.
The palate is fuller and showing more oak character with vanilla and subtle coconut notes. Honey and sun dried sultana and Satsuma follow. Elegant and supple with a long, crisp, column still finish with hints of minerals and green fruit.
