Gin MG 40%

Created by the Giro Ribot family, using only juniper from their own bushes in the Penedes region of Spain.

Tasted: Oct 2017

The nose displays a good intensity of juniper, both sweet and slightly bitter. There’s an almost anise-like note along with a slightly wheaty spirit note.

The palate is initially fresh and crisp with earthy juniper. There’s a slight feintiness in the background and it fills out well on the middle as the spirit character becomes more noticeable. The finish is fresher with a lingering, almost dusty spiciness.

Nordes Gin 40%

Tasted: Sept 2016

Botanicals include: Juniper, Cardamom, Verbena, Quinine, Ginger, Hibiscus, Bay Leaf, Eucalyptus, Sage, Mint and Tea

The nose is quite full and juniper with hints of bay leaf and mint. The hibiscus and verbena give it a sweet almost perfumed edge but a salty, sea breeze balances.

The palate is lightly oiled and shows a little more Albarino character. Subtle juniper with hints of verbena, mint, bay leaf an cardamom follow along with a touch of bitter sage. Like the nose the saltiness balances the perfumed, sweet hibiscus and although the finish is almost too perfumed the salty notes bring it back.
