An intense and peppery nose with juniper, coriander and waxy citrus. Very complex with hints of menthol and sweet lime. With time the aromas become quite creamy with a light earthy cereal note emerging.

The palate opens with waxy citrus, aniseed and juniper before the tart lemon kicks in. Lightly earthy with a pleasant balancing sweetness. Good length with the spices and waxy citrus lingering. Conclusion: A very complex and well balanced gin.

Elephant Gin 45%

Re-Tasted: Oct 2014

Nose: Dense and heavily perfumed with juniper and floral citrus. Lightly earthy with a touch of pepper and developing creamy spirit notes.

Palate: Again heavy on the juniper with tart citrus and biting spices. It’s definitely not lacking intensity! The slightly creamy spirit balances well.

Finish: Good length with plenty of spice, which does bitter eventually and a touch of liquorice.

Conclusion: Lovely intensity.
