A dense, oily and malty nose with leafy herbs, nettle and heather. Hints of white pepper and slightly industrial barley follow along with a touch of fragrant barley and balsamic vinegar.
The palate is slightly industrial to begin with, but some malt, citrus and toffee come through on the mifddle but that industrial note is jarring. Long, malty and slightly confected with sugar coated violets, barley, lime in the finish. Slightly metallic after-taste. It’s a somewhat odd finish.

A very sweet and honeyed nose of gristy barley and slightly tropical apricot and pineapple. Exceedingly voluptuous, especially by Allt-A-Bhannie standards!
The palate leads off with the vanilla oak, cream and apricot followed by some barley sugar and a touch of orange. Like the nose it is quite sweet and reasonably voluptuous with a lovely, spicy finish and lingering honey notes.

A dusty and slightly coffee’d nose with white pepper, barley and a touch of baked fruit. Subtle honey appears along with creamy vanilla, wood smoke and a slight rose petal edge.
The palate opens with creamy vanilla, butterscotch and barley along with some baked apple. Straightforward but pleasantly deep with a touch of citrus and straw on the middle. Medium length with sharp citrus, almond and dusty barley.

The nose is lightly herbal, malty and honeyed with hints of heather. Quite thick and juicy with a developing baked apple and pear note. The oak is quite marzipan in character.
Dense and malty on the palate with baked fruit, honey, coffee’d tannins and subtle herbal notes. Good malty depth with a spiced, honey finish.

Soft, gently critic aromas, which makes it feel quite fresh for its age. Hints of baked fruit, malt and an almost astringent, balsamic herbal note. With time a touch of slightly soapy pot-pourri emerges.
The palate starts quite sweetly as is less edgy than the nose suggests. A good depth of barley apricot, malt and stewed fruit with a touch of spice on the middle. Long and slightly balsamic with lingering baked fruit.

The nose is full and malty with hints of Horlicks, macerated apricot, apple and grape. Relatively straightforward but very deep and rich with a late fragrant heather note.
The palate is soft, supple and malty with a touch of vanilla, barley and sweet spice. Although not the most complex of dram it does have a pleasant pulped/ fleshy fruit character. Long and citric with lingering almond paste, hyacinth, crystalised orange and wood tannin.

A deep and malty nose with malt infused baked fruit and hints of honey, cinnamon and slightly smoky oak. Simple, but pleasantly deep and mature. With time the honeyed notes become slightly floral.
The palate is, wait for it…. Deep and malty with baked apple, cinnamon and honey. Pleasantly mature and spicy with some subtle, mature wood spice. Very long and malty with chilli spice and hints of sweet pepper, dried fruit, violet and darker honey.

A pure, herbal honey and toffee nose, with hints of refill sherried dried fruit and spice. Quite full with baked apple and a light balsamic nose.
Quite toffee’d on the palate as well with that baked apple character evident too. Quite full with some gentle dried grape and sweet spices. Very spicy on the middle with a smidge of black pepper and more sweet spices. Rather enjoyable.

A quite attractive nose of crisp citrus, barley, earth, white liquorice along with a touch of creamy/ toffee’d orange fruit. Light and relatively floral with time.
The palate is soft and reasonably full and very citrusy. The gentle spices build amidst the toffee. Good length and still very citrusy throughout. Lovely zesty, spicy finish. To be honest I pondered this quite long and hard, and I concluded that if this retailed at say just under 50 quid then I’d go for it but I don’t believe its complex enough to warrant a £63.95 price tag.

A rich, sweet and nutty nose showing some hazelnut kernel, juicy sherry and hints of malt, liquorice, dark spices and balsamic. With time it becomes quite herbal.
The palate is sweet and malty, quite full bodied and rather spicy. Sweetly sherried with plenty of tannins and a touch of marzipan. It’s livened up by a shot of tart citrus on the middle, which as it fades allows the oak notes of cedar and tobacco to return. Quite pleasant with some late Oloroso leafiness.
