Tasted: Oct 2014

Nose: Very neutral. Quite crisp with a touch of citrus and oat biscuit.

Palate: very neutral and a touch watery with again hints of biscuit and citrus.

Finish: Good length with a little spice note

Conclusion: Pretty dull up until the finish.

Michel Adam Fashion Vodka Luxury Collection 40%

Tasted: Oct 2014

Nose: Pleasantly oily with a good creamy spirit character. Full and fleshy with a slight dark grains note along with a light earthiness.

Palate: Full and creamy with a touch of vanilla. Simple and not as complex as the nose.

Finish: Good length with a touch of spice and grainy spirit notes.

Conclusion: A pleasant Vodka.

Aldi Tasting Notes

Aldi Tamova Premium Vodka 40%

Tasted: Oct 2104

Nose: Soft and creamy with hints of vanilla. With time it becomes fresher as the grainy spirit notes come through.

Palate: Fresh and quite citric with a developing creaminess.

Finish: Good length with a fresh, grainy finish.

Konik’s Tail Tasting Notes

Konik’s Tail Vodka 40%

Konik’s Tail is named after the wild ponies of Poland’s primeval forest, and is crafted from three distinct grains – Spelt (95%), Rye and early winter Wheat, represented by the three koniks on the label.

Tasted: Sept 2014

The aromas are quite dense, dark and wheaty with a distinct earthiness and hint of liquorice. With time it becomes slightly smoky and spicy. A really interesting nose!

The palate is soft and wheaty. Again quite dark with liquorice and rye spice. Lightly creamy on the middle with hints of vanilla coming through. Good intensity and length with a very smoky finish.

Koniks Tail Vodka 40%

Re-Tasted: Dec 2015

A lovely, forceful and wheaty nose with dark, grainy rye spice along with a touch of vanilla and earthy spelt. Great nose!

The palate is full and wheaty with plenty of dark rye grains and a lovely, natural earthy character. A touch of vanilla adds a little sweetness. Long and wheaty with lingering spice, pepper and citrus.

Rebel Spirits Group. Gluten-free Polish potato vodka distilled and bottled by Akwawit-Polmos, a 250-year-old distillery in Wroclaw, Poland.

Tasted: Nov/ Dec 2013

The nose is lightly perfumed and a little oily with hints of citrus, herbs, dusty spice and toasted caramel.  

The palate is quite fresh and grainy, again there is a little perfumed note evident plus hints of lemon zest along with a balancing vanilla sweetness. Lovely, intensely spicy finish. An all round impressive, characterful spirit.

Potocki Tasting Notes

Double Distilled, unfiltered Polish Vodka

Tasted: Nov 2010

The nose is rounded and full with character by the bucketful! Hints of edgy citrus fruit and crisp rye float above a base of sweet cereal.

The palate is again soft and full with a creamy/ milky mouth feel and like the nose a base of sweet cereal with a balancing citrus note. Lovely and soft with a good length which finishes with a gentle rye nip!

Bols Vodka Tasting Notes

Tasted: Nov/Dec 2013

The nose is quite peppery and spicy with some lightly starchy grain and fresher herbal notes.  

Full, Lightly oiled and a little sweet on the palate with vanilla, grass, spice and starchy grain notes. Good length with a light, peppery finish. In conclusion, it’s a well balanced and characterful spirit with a lovely finish.
