Tasted: Mar 2016

Now this feels like it has some miles on the clock! A beautiful melange of barley husk, soft apricot, white fruit, honey and oak on the nose. Water makes it quite aromatic and herbal.

The palate is a little dry and straw-like to begin with barley husks, white fruit and rather intrusive alcohol. Some sweeter barley notes come through on the middle with a touch of honey and earth. Diluted it’s a little watery. Short, hot and a little honeyed. Water brings out a little smokiness. In conclusion it is pleasant, but I think it has been bottled in the nick of time.
