Aromas of gristy barley and edgy white fruit. Quite fragrant with a touch of honey, rose petal, straw and vanilla. The aromas veer between youthful and mature, like it can’t make it’s mind up as to what it wants to be! Late hints of green apple.

Dense and barley’d on the palate with straw, honey and a little, hard barley and granity notes, but it adds to the character. Again it feels older than 13 with more straw and baked fruit on the middle. Medium length with hints of rose petal marc, dusty spice and slightly musty perfume.

Initially the nose is quite high toned with apple, white pear, barley and honey. It settles down and fills out with time especially as the oak and malt make an appearance. Late hints of milk chocolate and coconut.

The palate is rich and oaky, but not too oaky with malt, honey, fleshy apricot, apple and subtle notes of ginger and cinnamon. Long and spicy with lingering marzipan, pepper, malt biscuits and honey.

Full and sweet on the nose with barley, rose water, vanilla along with hints of apricot, gooseberry and a slightly mentholated herbal note.

Full and nutty on the palate with vanilla, apricot and herbal notes. Very deep and robust with a light citric note emerging on the middle. Long and delicately spiced with lingering vanilla, straw and nuts.

The nose is high toned and grassy with quite an alcohol prickle. Slightly gristy with white liquorice, juniper, sweet pepper, lime, vanilla and off-sweet barley.

The palate displays more of the creamy oak and less citrus. It’s also oilier and a little fatter with apricot, honey, pepper and subtle barley. Good length with a soft but oaky finish with a touch of white liquorice, apple and ginger.
