Lady of the Glen Tomintoul Tasting Notes

Lady of the Glen ‘Rare Cask’ Tomintoul 2005 (15 year old) 55.7%

Bourbon/ 13 months finishing in first fill Amontillado butt

Cask 19A

Dist: 2005 Btl: 2020/ Tasted: Jul 2020

A full on sherry saturated nose with green nuts and grapey Amontillado dried fruit, prune, walnut and spice.

The palate is pretty much like the nose – A sherry monster. Nutty and salty with green nuts and toasted oak. Good length with an intense green nut, dried fruit and tongue tingling spice finish. The alcohol is really emphasising the spices, but it’s still just a sherry monster.
