Blackadder Glenturret Tasting Notes

Blackadder Raw Cask Glenturret 1978 (27 year old) 50.1%

Bourbon Cask 354/ Dist: Mar1978 Btl: July 2005/ Tasted: June 2006

A remarkably youthful nose. Clean and crisp and quite high toned with lemon curd, citrus and pure vanilla. Slightly floral with a delightful creaminess. Soft and fruity on the palate, which opens with vanilla laced citrus fruit followed by the oak and crisp granity honey and malt. Lovely depth and purity. Superb length which tails off  with hints of custard creams, salt, sweet spices and the ever present minerality.
