Mossburn Distillers No18 Fettercairn 2008 (10 year old) 46%

Bourbon Barrel/ Batch 30.1008.18/ Dist: 2008 Btl: Dec 2018

Tasted: Jun 2019

Faint aromas of hard barley, but there is plenty of sweeter barley character. Hints of fresh citrus, white fruit, minerals and soil appear. It’s actually quite pleasant for a young ‘cairn!

The palate is quite crisp and citric with white fruit and subtle toffee. Slightly industrial on the middle, but it is ‘cairn after all! Good length with gooseberry, hard barley, minerals and sliver of honey and vanilla. Like the nose it’s not too bad.
